About Family Mediation

The aim of our family mediation campaign was to increase awareness and understanding of the use of family mediation in the process of divorce and separation - and in resolving other family problems. This work has now finished.

On the family mediation pages, we provided real-life stories, quizzes and simple, step-by-step guides with information and practical help on:

  • what family mediation is
  • how it works
  • how it fits in with using solicitors and the courts
  • when family mediation might be the best option
  • how to make the most of family mediation.

Advicenow launched its family mediation campaign on 11 May 2006. It was funded by the Department for Constitutional Affairs and later the Ministry of Justice.
