Lasa

London advice services alliance - an expert resource for advisers.

Lasa is a development and resource agency for advice and information providers. They want to see a society where access to information and expert advice on how to use it is available to all; where everyone, regardless of ability to pay, has access to the law to challenge discrimination, bad practice and disadvantage.

Lasa wants to see good advice available to all those who need it, and work to secure this by promoting the development of high quality information and advice services, by providing an expert resource to advice practitioners, and by influencing policy and stimulating good practice.

The lasa website www.lasa.org.uk provides a central source of help and information for those providing advice and information services.
It includes help on information systems and getting the best out of your IT, information about welfare benefits (including training), and policy work in the UK advice sector. You will also find details on their Advice and Information Management System software - AIMS, their welfare rights website for advice workers - www.rightsnet.org.uk, their publications, and their multilingual advice website - www.multikulti.org.uk.
