Good practice equality PLE
Equality PLE: What works well? Lessons from the UK, Europe and the world
Equality PLE (public legal education) uses the principles of general PLE to work towards aims which have an equality focus, for example, raising awareness of discrimination as a legal issue, giving people the knowledge, confidence and skills to take action against it and helping people to come together to tackle it collectively.
This guide highlights and celebrates valuable techniques for delivering effective equality PLE projects. (For more detail on how to actually carry them out see How to do equality PLE.)
- In the first section we look at examples from around the world that showcase good practice methods that can be used to design, deliver and evaluate equality PLE projects.
- In the second section we focus more closely on developing legal capability on equality issues with a showcase of successful examples from our 'Progress towards equality: Reaching out to communities' local projects.
