Where to get help
You may be able to get help from a local independent advice centre or CAB
Look in your Yellow Pages, search for your local CAB online (see 'Links to other websites'), or you can use the Legal Adviser Finder to search for advice services and solicitors in your area. You can search online using the link at the right of the page.
Staff at your local library or council offices should also be able to give you details of advice agencies near you.
When you’ve found a local advice centre or CAB, phone for an appointment and explain your problem. They may be able to give you an appointment or you may have to go down there and wait. Take all your letters with you, and any evidence of the things you have done to try to solve the problem.
