Communication and campaigns manager job vacancy

Law for Life is looking for a talented communications expert with a passion for rights and justice, to amplify our work and increase our impact. The right person will have experience of developing and implementing communications campaigns in relation to advocacy, fundraising, and marketing and will help us develop our communications strategy.

As Communication and Campaigns manager you’ll play a critical role in raising the profile and footprint of Law for Life. You will create campaign ideas, partnerships, and content that get widely noticed and talked about online, in the press and local community. You will nurture and manage a network of relationships with the media, local and campaigning organisations, influencers, and funders, and also grow the reach and engagement of our channels. Working with the education and information teams, you will also design and implement communications campaigns to raise awareness of the organisation’s activities and publications on issues including housing, welfare, and protest.

This role reports to the Head of Communications, and works as part of a passionate and dedicated team serving a million people each year. You will be joining Law for Life at an exciting time as we expand our work into campaigning for systemic change.

The post is offered initially for one year, our aim is for it to become permanent.

Conditions of employment

Salary:             Pro rata £38,300 pa (£30,640 pa for 28 hours per week), inclusive of London Allowance. Cost of living pay awards are negotiated nationally and are normally effective from 1  August each year

Hours:             Four-day-a-week post - 28 hours per week. Some flexibility over when to work the 28 hours but to be on Monday-Thursday between 10-4.

Period:            The post is offered for a one-year period, with likely extension.

Location:         Home-working role, with some opportunities for office working. With requirements to come to in-person meetings as required.

Holidays:        Pro rata 25 working days per annum, exclusive of public holidays
