Advicenow is seeking an ambitious and passionate Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees at an exciting time of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with financial expertise and a commitment to social justice, legal empowerment, and access to justice to help shape the future of a respected and innovative charity.


The Treasurer role

As a Trustee and Treasurer, you will:

  • Provide financial oversight to ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability and accountability.
  • Work closely with the Chair, Board, CEO, and Finance Manager to maintain robust governance and transparent reporting.
  • Contribute to shaping our strategic vision and growth, helping us deliver our three-year strategic plan.
  • Use your financial skills to support and challenge our thinking, ensuring we deliver maximum impact for our beneficiaries.

This is a voluntary governance role where you will play a critical part in the overall direction, vision, and strategy of Advicenow.

For our Treasurer Trustee role, experience in finance and accounting is essential. In addition, we welcome applicants who bring any of the following:

Charity finance and governance: Experience supporting or advising Boards on financial matters in the non-profit sector

Leadership in relevant sectors: Justice & human rights, health, technology, or community services

A recruitment panel consisting of the Chair, current Treasurer and CEO will assess applications against the person specification and invite shortlisted candidates to an in-person interview in central London.
