Thanks for using the DLA mandatory reconsideration letter tool

Your letter has been emailed to the email address you gave us and saved in your Advicenow account.

If you have any evidence that supports your case include a copy with your letter. If you don’t, send the letter anyway.

Don’t be put off!

Some people find that that after they have sent the DWP the mandatory reconsideration request, they get a phone call from someone at the DWP who tries to explain why they think they have made the right award. If this happens to you, be polite but don’t allow them to put you off. Ask them to continue with the reconsideration.

Some people are also told that they need to provide further medical evidence in order to have a chance of getting the decision changed. This is also not true. Ask them to continue with the reconsideration.

We want to find out more about the impact of our DLA mandatory reconsideration request tool and appeal guide. To help us with this, we would be hugely grateful if you would complete this short survey.
