What happens at a UC/ESA appeal video hearing?
The panel will welcome you, introduce themselves and explain what will happen. The panel will ask you questions about the difficulties you have and listen to your answers. The hearing will last approximately 40 minutes and you will be told their decision 3-5 working days later. You are allowed a friend with you for support. Do not vape or eat or drink anything except water (unless for a medical need). For more advice on what to do to win your appeal see Work capability assessment tribunal hearings. We also advise you to write a tribunal submission which sets out your case if you can. Use our free Work Capability Assessment Tribunal Submission Tool.
