Advicenow are running a free course for organisations across England which support care leavers in securing their housing rights. The course will be delivered online and is funded by the Britford Bridge Trust.

About the course

The course aims to give participants the basic knowledge and skills needed to deal with key benefits and housing issues. It will consist of two workshops and it will be delivered in English.

We are particularly keen to invite participants who are community volunteers, members of a support group, a grassroots mutual aid organisation, or something similar.

Information

1. Introduction to housing options for care leavers

Monday 8th September 10am-12pm

This workshop will cover the support available to care leavers in the social housing and private rented sectors.

2. Introduction to benefits for care leavers

Tuesday 9th September 10am-12pm

This workshop will look at what benefits are available for care leavers and ways to navigate the benefits system.

The workshops are free to attend.
